Card Making Days

What issue did your Take Action project address?
Our project addressed the problem of soldiers overseas being forgotten.

What was your Take Action Project? Who did you involve in your project?
Our Troop project was to make cards to thank the military troops overseas for their service. It involved the use of the Richmond Memorial Library, the community coming to make the cards, having an article in the Rivereast newspaper, and our troop who set up the project with leader supervision.

What were the results? How did it affect the community?
We made many cards to send to the troops. There were all ages from kids to adults that came to make cards, and quite a few people came. It affected the community by having them realize that the troops sacrifice quite a lot to protect our country.

What did you learn from the experience?
We learned that when people take more consideration into something that impacts their life, they will give back to the person/thing that is doing it.
