Groton Animal Shelter

Posted by:   Ava on Jun 3, 2013
Town:         Mystic
Troop:        63815

What issue did your Take Action project address?
The animal shelter needed more supplies for the animals so Sophie, Elizabeth, and I wanted to help them.

What was your Take Action Project? Who did you involve in your project?
I involved my neighbors, the people who work at the animal shelter, the manager of Pet Supplies Plus, my mom, Sophie's mom and Sophie, and Elizabeth and Elizabeth's mom.

What were the results? How did it affect the community?
The results were that everyone at the animal shelter (including the animals) loved what Sophie, Elizabeth, and I did. The animals had more food and things. We reminded people to go to their local shelter first if they are thinking of adopting a pet.

What did you learn from the experience?
I learned that it's better to help other people than be selfish or not do anything at all.
