Habitat for Humanity

What issue did your Take Action project address?
The issue that my project addressed was homelessness. We helped Habitat for Humanity by serving them refreshments, building flower boxes, painting picture frames, planting flowers, and making thank-you cards for the workers.

What was your Take Action Project? Who did you involve in your project?
I involved Jessica, Elyse, and Sarah. We all helped with a little bit of everything. We all served refreshments, we all did the flower boxes, and we all made thank you cards.

What were the results? How did it affect the community?
The result was a happy family with a new home. Even though they had to work on it too, they were overjoyed. This impacted the community because that was one less homeless family that we were able to help get a start to a good life.

What did you learn from the experience?
I learned that if you help just a tiny bit, it can make a big impact. When you do something from the heart and be helpful to the receiver, it can be priceless.
