Teresa C. Younger

- is currently on her second term as Board President. She is a lifelong Girl Scout who earned both her Silver and Gold Awards as a youth. Her early Girl Scout experiences included serving as a National Delegate in Detroit, MI and in two Wider Opportunities activities. Teresa is the Executive Director of the Connecticut General Assembly's Permanent Commission on the Status of Women, the State's leading force for women's equality. Teresa has a diverse array of policy and management experiences from corporate philanthropy to youth development. She currently sits on the boards of the Women’s Campaign School at Yale, and the Universal Health Care Foundation, serves on the Connecticut’s Hall of Fame. She was identified in 2008 by the Hartford Business Journal as one of the "8 Remarkable Women in Business" and has continually been recognized for her commitment to civil rights and civil liberties. Teresa has a bachelor's degree from the University of North Dakota, and resides in Shelton, CT with her husband Ronald Preston.
