Naugatuck Historical Society Museum to display Girl Scouts of Connecticut's 100th Traveling Exhibit

During the month of November, the Girl Scouts of Connecticut’s 100th Traveling Exhibit will be on display at the Naugatuck Historical Society Museum, with the premiere event to be held on Thursday, November 3, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Attendees can also see a presentation by Naugatuck Girl Scouts at 7:00 p.m. that evening, featuring songs, the Girl Scout Law and Promise, and a flag ceremony.

The exhibit was created in honor of Girl Scouts’ upcoming 100th Anniversary, and its theme is “Celebrating 100 Years of Leadership.” This exhibit features information and memorabilia about the history of the leadership programs offered by Girl Scouts, focusing on the evolution of the highest Girl Scout awards, beginning with the Golden Eaglet in 1916 to the current Gold Award.

The presentation on November 3 is free to any person in Girl Scout uniform, and $2 per person for the general public. Viewing hours for the exhibit are Wednesday-Friday, 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Group or individual tours of the museum can be booked by either calling or emailing the museum, at (203) 729-9039 or naugatuckhistory@sbcglobal.net.
