GSOFCT Welcomes New Chief of Staff

Girl Scouts of Connecticut is pleased to announce the executive appointment of Michael L. Campbell to Chief of Staff.

Mr. Campbell brings twenty-five years of experience in nonprofit executive management to the Girl Scout organization. As Chief of Staff for Girl Scouts of Connecticut, he will primarily be responsible for governance stewardship and advocacy matters related to the operations of the organization and will be a key participant in strategic planning. Mr. Campbell will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with external sources such as the government and the business community, and with internal sources such as board members, staff and volunteers. Mr. Campbell will report directly to Girl Scouts of Connecticut's CEO, assisting with the development, implementation, and achievement of the organization's mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Most recently, Mr. Campbell worked as the National Development Director for Naval Sea Cadets. He also founded and directed the International Exchange Program for the Naval Sea Cadets, where he served as Senior Delegate for the United States at International Sea Cadet Association conferences. Prior to that, Mr. Campbell was the Executive Director for Hartford Children's Theatre, Inc. where he directed all operations and development for the award winning nonprofit theatre that serves 10,000 children and adults a year.

Mr. Campbell is very active in the community serving on the artistic advisory committee for Hartford Children's Theatre, the National Board of Directors for the Navy League of the United States, and the CT Commission on Culture & Tourism Peer Advisor Network. Campbell resides in Canton, CT with his wife Rie Poirier-Campbell.
