Girlz R.U.L.E. (Respect, Understand, Lead, Empower) is an anti-bullying program designed for girls. Girl Scouts of Connecticut has developed this signature initiative and there are programs throughout the state. Volunteers are needed to facilitate this program to girls in grades three through eight, which may be offered during school hours, immediately after school, or in one-day workshops or events.
There is no cost for this training. Light refreshments will be served throughout the day, bring a lunch and covered mug. More trainings will be offered throughout the membership year. To register, contact Hannah Granfield.

Join other Girl Scouts and volunteers to take a tour of our State Capitol. Then stay for a 1:00 p.m. reception in the Legislative Office Building where the Honorary Girl Scout Troop at the Capitol led by Secretary of the State Denise Merrill will do a rededication ceremony. Learn about our legislative process while showing your Girl Scout pride by wearing your uniform! Register today for this FREE event!
The 11:00 a.m. press conference (room 1b) will focus on cyberbullying and our Girlz R.U.L.E.TM (Respect, Understand, Lead, Empower) program which teaches girls positive skills and techniques to deal with and overcome relational conflicts such as bullying and other behaviors that often pave the way to violence.

Fun and healthy activities to celebrate Girl Scouts' 99th Birthday

Join us at the Westfield Meriden Mall on Saturday, March 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for fun healthy events!
Featured will be Live Healthy Lead Healthy Center Court Stage Events including Salsa, Airborne Jugglers, Hip Hop Dancing, and “Kids on the Block”, Healthy Living activities including safety, healthy development and habits, nutrition and physical wellness. Sample some selected activities from It’s Your Story- Tell It! Journey Series and celebrate the 99th Anniversary of Girl Scouts!
Girls can come to this free Girl Scouts of Connecticut event with their Troop or family and enjoy the many Live Healthy Lead Healthy activities being offered. By participating in some of the activities, girls will receive an event patch. Plan to join us for this event! No preregistration is required.
