UPCOMING GIRL PROGRAMS


turtleGirl Scout Day at the Zoo
Come to Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport on May 2 to learn about animals around the world. Girls will learn about the animals' habitats, why they are endangered, what they like to  eat, and how the zoo is helping them survive. Girl Scout activities will be from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., then you can spend the rest of your day exploring the zoo on your own. For
all ages, troops, and families. $13 per person - Fun patch included. Register by April 20. For more info, contact Nancy at nbajek@gsofct.org.

Spring FlowerJump Into Spring
A night for girls to jump into spring camping all over the state! Camp May 8-9 in your own backyard, and we'll provide you with an activity packet. Or join us at Camp Murray in East Haven for staff-led programs! For all ages, families, and individuals with an adult. See this flyer or the links below for more info. Register by April 27.


New YorkNYC Day Trip

Older girls can spend
June 13 exploring New York, including Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Times Square, and the Museum of Natural History! For Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors, and Adults. $100 per person includes bus, museum admissions, and snacks. Lunch and dinner are on your own. Register by May 7. For more info, contact Nancy at nbajek@gsofct.org.  

 

Camp Sikorsky
Get hands-on with STEM at Camp Sikorsky on October 2-4! Camp out with other Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts in front of Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, and take part in fun workshops like Aviation, Inventing, Search and Rescue, Crime Prevention, and more, all taught by professionals. For girls 12 and up with adults (please maintain 8:2 girl-adult ratio). Find out more and register using this flyer. Register by August 15!



UPCOMING VOLUNTEER TRAININGS

HikerWilderness First Aid
Do you want to safely explore the wilderness? This course will certify you to act as the First Aider for troops/groups who plan activities that take them more than 30 minutes from emergency services. The course is two days long, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on April 25 and 26, and is open to both adults and girls over 14. Find out more and register using this flyer. Register by April 20.

 

Archery Facilitator Training
bullseyeEver wanted to experience the thrill of the hitting the bulls eye? Interested in helping girls share the excitement? Then this facilitation course is just right for you! For Ambassadors and Adults. $100 per person.

Certified adults will be able to facilitate at camporees or other individual troop events.

  • An-Se-Ox, Oxford May 13 and 14, 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. (Must attend both sessions). Register by May 7.
