Kick Offs are an open-house format and pre-registration is not required. Arrive and leave at your convenience. We suggest you allot one hour to see all the displays. Pick one of the following events!

GSOFCT SPEAKER SERIES
Based on the latest research from the Girl Scout Research Institute, “The State of Girls: Unfinished Business,” the Girl Scout speaker series sponsored by First Niagara will inspire thought, conversation, and solutions. Hosted by a guest emcee, each event will include a short presentation of
the data followed by a panel discussion from local experts.
From July 7 through August 29, all GSOFCT Service Centers will be open 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Fridays. All GSOFCT shops and the GSOFCT Museum will also operate on summer hours during this time.

THE ULTIMATE GIRLS' WEEKEND!
The 2014 Girl Scout Convention will take place from October 16-19 in Salt Lake City, and it's going to be a blast! Adults and girls can attend the convention as official visitors. Check out the convention website for more information.
UNITING TO "BAN BOSSY"
Girl Scouts of the USA and Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO, author of Lean In, and founder of LeanIn.org have partnered to empower girls to lead. Ban Bossy is about coming together to encourage girls to pursue leadership roles at home, at school, and in their lives by challenging people to stop using the word "bossy." Girl Scout Day at Quassy Amusement Park
Join Girl Scouts of Connecticut for this fun-filled family event on Sunday, October 5. Come as a troop or a family. In the private picnic grove, enjoy a buffet lunch and dive into a variety of QSP carnival themed games. Activities will include feed the otter, fish for fishies, a relay race, face painting, and more! After lunch, enjoy all of the rides and activities the park has to offer. Fun patch included.
