The day will include Girl Scout displays, a ceremony with the honorary Capitol Troop, press conference, drop-in workshops, tours, and meetings to let state legislators know what is on your mind. The day will start at 9:30 and end at 2:00, but you may arrive and depart at any time. Brownie/Junior and Cadette/Senior/Ambassador citizenship workshops will begin at 10:00 and 1:00. At 11:00, join us for the Capitol troop pinning ceremony, reception, and press conference.
If desired, select a specific tour (limited space) when registering for the event. If you'd like to speak with a local legislator, please indicate this when registering. Meetings are subject to availability and you will be informed of arrangements shortly before, or the day of the event. Register each person separately.
Parking should be available in the garage next to the Legislative Building. Girl Scouts will be in the walkway between the LOB and the Capitol, as well as LOB 2nd floor atrium. Please wear uniform or Girl Scout attire. Girls' workshop sessions will be "drop in" first come, first serve. If you expressed an interest, ability to meet with your legislator will depend on their availability and interest. Please research your legislator and have in mind questions to ask/topic to discuss in mind. Remember! The Capitol troop pinning ceremony, reception, and press conference begins at 11:00, in the 2nd floor atrium
