I had the experience of going to world camp at Camp Seeley about 1980....my tent mates were from Washington State, Liberia, and Nigeria..it was a great experience and I wrote and stayed friends with them through high school but sadly not much past a few years...Maria brought ash from the newly erupted from Mt St Helen...it literally was on her family's deck!!! I have the vial of it and 2 years ago my 12 year old daughter used them in a school project on volcanoes...How cool was that...all because of the opportunities that girl scouts had afforded me and now my daughter!!!!!
