"Operation Zipper Pouch"
Posted: Feb 3, 2014
All of the Girl Scout Troops of Pembroke Elementary School ( troops 50011, 50082, 50016) pulled together for a huge donation project. We purchased cute pouches, colorful stripes for girls and camouflage for boys. All of the parent volunteers and the girls of the troops met in a classroom and stuffed each pouch with fun toys for both girls and boys. We had everything from coloring books to mini chess games. We filled up to 50 plus pouches with fun activities. The pouches were then donated to the pediatric department at Danbury Hospital. Our goal was to be able to give the children that stayed over night at the hospital a little something. The staff was so thankful for these pouches! A fantastic service project by the Troops at Pembroke Elementrary School!!!
