Junior troops donate wooden toys
Posted: Jul 30, 2012
Girl Scout Troops 50803 and 50621 of Danbury have come together to donate assembled “Wooden Toys”, using pre-packaged game kits Lowes donated to the Troops. The Girl Scouts assembled the kits to make the wooden games. Through the Lowes “Build and Grow” program, Girl Scout Troop members have learned how to help lay the foundation of giving back.
The Troops’ activities were the focus of their first official Junior Girl Scout Activity. The generous gifts from Girl Scout Troops 50803 and 50621 are an inspiration not only to other Troops, but to the entire community.
As a result of the Troops’ efforts, Girl Scout Troops 50803 and 50621 have been inducted into Danbury Hospital’s Kids Care Club, a philanthropic organization for children and young adults under the age of 18.
