Blankets and More Posted: Jul 3, 2011 Girl Scout Troop 10886 recently completed its Bronze Award (the "old way"). After fulfilling multiple prerequisites, the fifth graders spent over 15 hours each on their service project. Together they made 20 no-sew fleece blankets and cards to accompany them; they also shopped for and purchased activities for the kids at CCMC and then delivered everything. All supplies were paid for with money the girls earned. As a result of their efforts, the girls not only helped a lot of children, but they learned a lot about hard work and seeing a large project through from start to finish.
