Towel & Toy Drive
Posted: Jun 25, 2011
The girls in our 3rd Grade Brownie troop love animals, so for our service project we did a towel and toy drive to benefit the CT Humane Society. We made posters and plastered our school with them. We also made flyers and sent them home to all the students at Highcrest School. Our goal was to raise 100 towels and toys in celebration of the upcoming 100 year anniversary of Girl Scouting. Between the donations we received and the cookie proceeds the girls voted to use, our troop far surpassed our goal and donated 168 towels and toys to the Humane Society. Each girl made a bundle to present with a special note to the Humane Society.
